About
I am proud to have have represented the Barron River electorate since 2015. The following are some recent achievements that I am the most proud of in my electorate and surrounding suburbs.
Smithfield Bypass - $164 Million
I am proud to have helped deliver the Smithfield bypass for the constituents of the Barron River Electorate and surrounding Suburbs.
The Smithfield Bypass is now open, providing vital infrastructure for the northern beaches of Cairns. The bypass meets current and future strategic transport needs of the area—providing a safer, more efficient travel route for motorists and industry.

Purchase of Earl Hill for Conservation
On May 4th on May 4th, the QLD public took possession of Earl Hill for $4 million.
It has since been turned into a nature reserve and the Earl Hill Walking Track has been developed, being used every day by people exploring the outdoors in our tropical paradise.
Thanks to the many passionate residents who raised this matter with me.
Cairns Hospital Emergency Department
As a ex-paramedic I am thrilled that the emergency department in Cairns is receiving a much needed upgrade.
The $26.4 Million upgrade is currently underway

Barron River School Upgrades
During my time as your elected MP for Barron River I have been fortunate to oversee various upgrades and new developments within the Electorate.

Community
I am proud to support Barron River community groups and organizations, and to play a hand as the local member to secure funding for various projects that serve our community including the a much needed upgrade to the Yorkeys Knob boat ramp and funding to YAPS to upgrade their facilities.
